Wrinkle-Relaxing Injections

What are the 3 areas for Botox?

Typically, the three main treatment areas for anti-wrinkle injections, which are the Glabella, the forehead and the Crow’s feet and they all have their own specific injection patterns.

  • The Glabella ( more commonly known as the frown line) contains a group of muscles, which contract when a person furrows their brows. The contraction over time, causes the vertical lines which we refer to as frown lines.

  • The other area is the forehead, which is commonly treated for the softening of horizontal wrinkles. The forehead muscles are responsible for lifting the eye brows by contracting and in doing so repeatedly over time, fine lines begin to appear.

  • Another area that is commonly injected is around the eyes. This targets the lines that are referred to as ‘crow’s feet’ also known to some people as smile lines. This is because as we smile the muscles around the eye contracts forming these fine lines.

When people have botulinum toxin injected to treat the forehead, this is often combined with treatment between the eyebrows & so it is classed as two areas costing £190. Here at Skin Lab Aesthetics, any additional treatment required to enhance the results at the review appointment is included in the original price paid.

Neck Botox/’Turkey Neck’ (Platysmal bands & The ‘Nerfertiti Lift’) £350

This is a new technique which involves placing multiple injections of the anti-wrinkle product horizontally along the lower jaw line and vertically down the side of the neck along the platysmal band muscles. The effect is to improve the definition of the jaw line, relax the jowls and provide an upward lifting effect in the neck and jaw area. Like the face, treatments last on average 3-4 months. It is important to note that this is not a replacement for surgery and definitely not a ‘‘face -lift in a bottle’’ however, it can achieve a 15% lift.

Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) £395

Botulinum toxin is licensed in the UK for treating localised hyperhidrosis of the armpits. You may be a candidate for this treatment if your sweating fails to improve with prescription antiperspirants. This treatment has shown to result in 82%- 87% reduction in sweating. Results start to be noticeable after 2-4 days and the full affect showing within 2 weeks. The dryness can last anywhere between 4 to 14 months.
